Kmehr-Bis
Kind messages for electronic healthcare record
Belgian implementation standard

This site has been developped in 2002, for demonstration purpose. It has been upgraded in September 2006, to reflect the progresses of Kmehr in different areas (essentially sumehr and the web services).

Among its various weaknesses, it does not support an appropriate version management. A proposal for a version 2 has been presented in Sept, 2006. It is currently analysed by the Ministry of Health.

Methodology
We have followed a very pragmatic bottom-up approach:

Documentation
The normative part of Kmehr-Bis is only composed of the Kmehr XSchema complemented by the Kmehr validation XSL-T.
All other documents on this site are just informative. We strongly advise you to follow the menu options step by step.

GP software acreditation
This site proposes a full Kmehr-Bis specification that should be implemented in Belgium in the coming years.
In the context of the accreditation of GP software, a simplified version of Kmehr (including a simplified version of the XSchema) has been proposed.
